About Kyoohoo
We are a professional consortium founded in 2000 with the purpose of promoting and supplying Kyoto-made traditional handcrafts across the globe.
Member companies are all based in Kyoto. Our current main activities include developing new products and promoting them in craft / cultural events and exhibitions abroad. Our key strength is our products can be ordered through one point of contact.
We all help and work together with a united aim of promoting handcrafts.
Concept
Our core concept is (凛)Rin and (和)Nagomi.
They represent unique Japanese spiritual expressions.
Rin means cool, gallant and dignified.
Namomi means calm, relieved and at ease.

Activities in the US.
We started our US marketing in 2002 with Japan Expo held in Los Angeles,
and we have been participating in New York International Gift Fair every year since 2005.
Now our products can be found in gift shops and museum stores across North America via our contracted distributor.
Activities in Europe
We have been participating in Artigianato held in Florence every year since 2007.
We have also taken part in various other exhibitions including 2008 Ambiente in Frankfurt,
and 2010-2011 Japan Expo in Paris. Now our products are available in Italy, France Greece and Spain.
Activities in China
We participated in 2011 Kyoto Products Fair in Shanghai Hisamitsu Department Store,
2011 Shanghai Gift Fair and 2011 Kyoto Products Fair in Shanghai Isetan Department Store.
We are also one of the suppliers for the store dedicated in promoting Kyoto in Shanghai.
Collaboration with a University
We have been collaborating with the Kyoto University of Art and Design to develop new items since 2008.
The joint activity has resulted in various new original products.
